Now you have successfully created your custom attribute/attributes. Let’s find out how you can create custom attribute sets.
A product or a service category would have a set of attributes that are common to them. For example, shirts would have a similar set of attributes while shoes another. Creating custom attribute sets on your online store, helps you to group your products or services easier while making it easier for the customers to find them. If you have already created custom attributes following the steps listed below, you can now start connecting them to create an attribute set for your product category by following the steps below;
Step 1 - Click on “Settings” in the left side menu.
Step 2 - Click on “Attribute Set” under settings.
Step 3 - Click the “+” on the right-top corner to add a new attribute set.
Step 4 - Type down an Attribute name and select an Attribute set that it is based on.
Step 5 - Click “Submit”.
Now you have successfully created your own attribute set. Let’s allocate these attribute sets to attribute groups.
It is important to identify which attribute set relates to which products. These sets can be collectively allocated under Attribute Groups. For example, the colour attribute might not relate to another product even though it relates to shirts. You can allocate attributes based on the specific product category using Attribute groups. Now since we have created an Attribute Set, it is the time to allocate them into specific Attribute Groups.
Step 1 - Click on the “Edit” icon at the right corner of the attribute set.
Step 2 - Click the “+” at the right corner of the Attribute group to add a new attribute group.
Step 3 - Type down the attribute group name and click “Submit”.
Step 4 - Click the “+” at the right corner of the attribute group to assign attributes.
Step 5 - Select the attributes and click “Submit”.
Step 6- Click “Submit” at the right-top corner of the screen.
Now you have successfully added an attribute group to an attribute set. This way, the shop owner can easily allocate attribute groups to products to deliver a good customer experience.
