Backordering is the process of allowing customers to place orders even if your shop doesn’t have sufficient stock on hand.
Online businesses implement backordering when a sudden increase in sales means that products are getting sold faster than they can be stocked.
Find out how you can enable backordering in your ShopOnCloud;
Step 1 - Log in to your ShopOnCloud admin account.
Step 2 - Click on the “Settings”.
Step 3 - Click on “Configurations” under the Settings section.
Step 4 - Click on “General Settings”.
Step 5 - Scroll down to the “Inventor Settings” section.
Step 6 - Click the toggle “Quantity Manageable”.
Step 7 - Click the “SUBMIT” button.
Step 8 - Click on the “Catalogue” section on the left side menu.
Step 9 - Click on “Products” in the catalogue section.
Step 10 - Click the “Edit” icon for your select product.
Step 11 - Click the “ATTRIBUTES” section.
Step 12 - Go to the “Default” section.
Step 13 - Click the “Continue selling when out of stock” toggle.
Step 14 - Click “Save” once done. (By selecting “Save and Close” you will be directed back to the product list.)
