The SEO Settings section of your admin console can be used to manage the metadata of your products. The “Product” section is dedicated to performing these tasks. Its tools and features are designed to support your products to reach more potential clients. The following steps can be followed when making changes to product metadata through the Product page of SEO Settings.
Step 1 - Log in to your ShopOnCloud account.
Step 2 - Click on “Settings” in the left side menu.
Step 3 - Click “Configurations” under settings.
Step 4 - Click on “SEO Settings”.
Step 5 - Click the “Product” field.
Step 6 - Click the icon to add a new variable for the “Default Meta Title” field. (You also have the option to type the meta tags.)
Step 7 - Click the icon to add new variables for the “Default Meta Keywords” field. (You also have the option to type the meta tags.)
Step 8 - Click the icon to add a new variable for the “Default Meta Description” field. (You also have the option to type the meta tags.)
Step 9 - Click “Add New” under Custom Meta Tags to create new meta tags.
Step 10 - Type a name for the new meta tag.
Step 11 - Type the content of the tag. You can also select an existing variable by clicking the icon. (For advanced editing, use the Edit as HTML icon.)
Step 12 - Click the “SAVE” button. ( If you wish to apply these settings to upcoming products, continue with Save. You can implement the changes to all the existing pages by clicking on Save and apply to existing products. )
Frequently updating product information improves their relevance and engagement. The improvements done to the Product page will help each product find its way towards customers. The changes done to one product page can also be applied to the rest of the product pages at your store. These improvements do not limit to the product page. Metadata of individual products can also be updated.
