Variables represent the properties related to your online store, its products and product categories For example, the name of your store, logo, and product names are considered under variables. ShopOnCloud online shops are provided with two types of variables namely, System variables and Custom variables.
These variables are properties that are fixed and cannot be changed. Store admins can copy these variables and use them for the customization of products and categories within your store. When allocated to certain sections, some of these variables change their values accordingly.
ShopOnCloud allows store admins to create custom variables. Unlike system variables, these variables can be created, copied, deleted, or edited. Custom variables can be used on product pages, category pages, and the homepage
When creating a custom variable, admins can follow these given steps;
Step 1 - Log in to your ShopOnCloud account.
Step 2 - Click on “Settings” in the left side menu.
Step 3 - Click “Configurations” under settings.
Step 4 - Click on “Variables”.
Step 5 - Go to the “CUSTOM VARIABLES” section.
Step 6 - Click the icon to add a new variable.
Step 7 - Type the “Variable Name” or Click the icon to select and insert an existing variable.
Step 8 - Click the “Save” button once done.
The custom variables created by Shop Admins will appear on a list in the same section. Each variable can be copied and applied to an updating process.
